The BlemBots are a collection of fake, blemished characters created through the power of an imperfectly-trained generative adversarial network (GAN) using a type of artificial intelligence. Each BlemBot’s face, name, and “statements of happiness” were created using different GANs, then individually curated by the artist Chris Sallquist to bring a cast of digital AI rejects to life on the Ethereum blockchain.

The uniqueness and value of each Character come from their random visual imperfections and blemishes, which are many The cumulative effect of their blemishes, combined with their happiest moments determines their overall personality type and traits.
